In the event of the death of a pensioner
＜Request＞
If a pension beneficiary who is currently receiving a pension passes away, please contact our Fund. （TEL 078-336-6922）
Please also note that you shall be required to refund any excess pension payments, if there is no pension payment guarantee period remaining and you fail to contact our Fund in time.
In the event of a pensioner's death, we will stop pension payments upon receipt of notification of the pensioner's death. Pension payments will continue until payment is made for the month in which the pensioner died.
Depending on the timing of notification and the type of pension, the bereaved family may receive tax refunds, payment of any outstanding benefits, payment of a lump-sum for the remaining guarantee period, or may receive a demand for return of payments in the event of overpayment. We will provide you with more information on the procedure when we receive your notification.

If a beneficiary dies while waiting to reach the age when his/her pension will commence, please contact our Fund first of all.（TEL 078-336-6922）
In the event of the death of a beneficiary waiting to reach the age when his/her pension will commence, we will confirm the details of his or her pension benefits upon receipt of notification, and send the bereaved family information on the procedure to be followed to receive survivor's benefit and the required documents. We will make a lump-sum survivor benefit payment within a month after receipt of the required documents.

Please confirm the procedure to be followed in the event of an active employee's death with HR.
If an active employee dies, we will make a payment to the bereaved of the balance in the employee's individual account on the date of his or her death.
